Neopanora works to deploy SUSTINE Systems, based on the integration of locally available renewable energy sources and locally supportable nuclear energy systems, and to improve and create nuclear energy systems so it can be a key element of this energy solution for sustainable global development. Anyone interested in helping Neopanora achieve this goal can participate in its activities. If you have skills and expertise relevant to any part of the Neopanora Institute-Network of Energy Technology’s (NINET’s) operation, administration or development activities, you can become a Neopanora Member. The NINET welcomes and encourages participation by the public in the development of NEOP systems. Visit the Neopanora Forums and share your idea. Neopanora Members work on specific projects or tasks facilitated by the NINET. Members may work either full-time or part-time, without a long-term employment commitment. They are free to contribute to the NINET’s activities while being employed by another organization. Some of the projects and task teams are made up of experts and interns and will be completed in the Sustainable Energy Technologies Training and Internship Centers (SETICs) sponsored by the NINET. These projects and tasks may be of special interest of Neopanora Members who would like to share their experience with others through internship, and those members who would like to gain some practical experience through the internship. After completing their assigned project or task, Neopanora Members are encouraged to continue supporting the NINET’s interests. Anyone who has contributed to a project with the NINET can become a lifetime Neopanora Member if he or she chooses. Freelancers, recent retirees, and new professionals can all benefit from joining Neopanora. For more information about how membership could benefit you, see Ten Reasons to Become a Neopanora Member. Neopanora Members are compensated for their work on projects facilitated by the NINET thought a system of points, called Neopoints. Up to 90% of a Member’s accumulated Neopoints can be converted into cash monthly, as compensation for the work performed. If Members prefer not to receive cash compensation while they are working on a project (for instance, to avoid a conflict of interest with their regular employer), they can convert their Neopoints at a later time. The remaining 10% of a Member’s accumulated Neopoints is classified as non-convertible, and cannot be converted into cash. They can, however, be exchanged for shares in projects that have been incubated through the NINET and spun off into freestanding commercial businesses (provided a Minimum Neopoints Level is maintained). The number of Neopoints a Member receives per hour of work performed depends on his or her education and years of experience. Additional Neopoints are awarded for managerial work. The detailed formula for calculating Neopoints can be found here. As an example, an engineer or scientist with 11 years of relevant experience will receive about three (3) Neopoints for every ten (10) hours of paid work in his or her professional area, or every one (1) hour of unpaid work in the same area. All Neopanora Members can participate in the Neopanora Lattice. This is a professional networking site managed by the NINET. The Neopanora Lattice enables members to connect with colleagues around the world. It is also an effective means for Members to promote their professional interests and qualifications to other Neopanora Members (this information can be seen only by those will full membership status). Anyone interested in making nuclear energy technology more relevant to sustainable development can apply. Neopanora membership is free of charge. Simply fill out the Neopanora Member Application Form. When your application is approved, you become an Associate Member and can start enjoying the many networking opportunities provided by this forum. You can also start accumulating Neopoints by working on any activity supported by the NINET. When an Associate Member accumulates more than 50 Neopoints, he or she automatically becomes a Neopanora Member with full membership status. Information about each Neopanora Member or Associate Member will be displayed on the Neopanora Lattice. The type of information available to a viewer of the site depends on that viewer’s access privileges. Level 1 Information A general member profile, provided by the member, will be accessible to all visitors to the Neopanora Lattice website. Level 2 Information More detailed information provided by each member, including his or her electronic contact information, interests, CV and website address will be accessible to all Neopanora Members with full membership. Access will be secure, and the names of all viewers of this information will be listed in the member’s account. Level 3 Information Information about each member’s contributions to the NINET’s activities, as well as additional personal information, will be accessible to a limited group of people. This group includes the member, all appointed Neopanora project leaders or managers, the NINET’s human resource officers and executive members, and Neopanora Members specifically authorized by the NINET Executive Director. The names of all viewers of this information will be listed in the member’s account.
